The mother of actress Han So-hee, who faces allegations of operating illegal gambling venues, has received a suspended prison sentence in her appeal. On May 16, the Chuncheon District Court’s Criminal Division 1, presided over by Judge Shim Hyun-geun, upheld the original sentence of one year in prison, suspended for two years, along with 120 hours of community service for Shin (55), who was charged with running a gambling establishment.
Shin became involved with illegal gambling sites through contacts made on Telegram, leading to her conviction.
