Shuri is sparking controversy with her surprise marriage to former BE:FIRST member Ryoki Miyama, who has a scandalous past.
On July 29, the actress and Miyama announced they secretly tied the knot. Even more jaw-dropping — they revealed they’re expecting their first child. “A new life has come to us,” they wrote on social media.
This happy news comes after serious drama. The couple planned a May wedding but scrapped it in April amid explosive claims Miyama scammed ex-AV actress and YouTuber Ono Akari in a “marriage fraud.”
Japanese media detailed Miyama’s alleged scheme: he was once engaged to Ono, took nearly 100 million yen (about 940 million KRW) from her, then cut off contact. Miyama admits dating Ono but says their breakup was mutual.
Shuri’s dad, Mizutani Yutaka (“Partners” star), reportedly reacted harshly to the scandal. Insiders say both Mizutani and his wife opposed the relationship from the start and were unsettled by Miyama’s past.
Despite family backlash, Shuri pushed ahead after confirming her pregnancy.
Mizutani Yutaka:
“If another scandal involving women surfaces, I will never help you again.”
Shuri launched her acting career in 2011, starring in dramas like IS: Neither Man Nor Woman, Reverse, Innocence: False Accusation Lawyer, and Boogie Woogie.
Now, her personal life is front and center — but controversy keeps stealing the spotlight.
