Yu Menglong is at the center of a shocking controversy. Reports have surfaced claiming that the 36-year-old actor and singer allegedly died after falling from a building in Beijing.
The rumor first emerged from Chinese media outlet News.Az and quickly went viral on Weibo. According to popular blogger Detective Xiaoyan, Yu had been hanging out with friends on the evening of September 10. Around 2 a.m., he reportedly locked himself in his bedroom.
A few hours later, his friends left only to find him missing. His body was allegedly found around 6 a.m. by a passerby walking their dog, who notified the police.
Notably, Red Star News later reported that one of Yu’s close friends was blindsided by the news.
“I called him, but his phone was turned off. I sent him a WeChat message, but he didn’t reply. He hasn’t updated his Moments in the past few days.”
Born on June 15, 1988, in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China, Yu Menglong is known for roles in Xin Bai Niang Zi Chuan Qi (2019), Love Game in Eastern Fantasy (2024), and Liang Sheng, Wo Men Ke Bu Ke Yi Bu You Shang (2018).
