Park Hyung Sik is facing backlash after being accused of receiving an “exorbitant” fee for his appearance in the drama Twelve. Reports claim he allegedly earns ₩400 million KRW (around $290,000 USD) per episode, totaling ₩3.20 billion KRW (about $2.31 million USD) for the series’ eight episodes. Comparatively, the rest of the cast reportedly shares a combined salary of less than ₩1.00 billion KRW (approximately $722,000 USD).
His agency, Le V Entertainment, quickly refuted these claims. On September 17, they issued an official statement denying the accuracy of the reported figures.
“The reports about Park Hyung Sik’s appearance fees revealed through the media are not true… We are releasing this official stance,” the agency stated.
They emphasized that Park, known for his roles in Doctor Slump and Twelve, approaches each project with sincerity.
The controversy has sparked significant discussion online, with many fans monitoring the situation closely.
