Park Min Young’s latest series, Confidence Queen, is facing turbulent ratings. The show, which also stars Park Hee Soon and Joo Jong Hyuk, tells the story of con artists exposing greed in the real estate and financial sectors.
Adapted from the popular Japanese series Confidence Man JP, it marks Amazon Prime’s first original series. After two episodes, it reached the 9th spot in the platform’s worldwide TV show rankings. By September 12th, it climbed to 5th place—gaining traction amongst global viewers.
However, the reception on Chosun TV differs significantly. The series started strong with a 1.1% rating but slipped to 0.9% after 4 episodes.
Due to this decline, Confidence Queen is moving from its 9:10 PM time slot to 10:30 PM.
The change, effective September 20, aims to avoid clashes with popular shows like Bon Appétit, Your Majesty and Queen Mantis.
As viewership trends continue, fans are monitoring the situation closely. Will the new time slot revive ratings? Stay tuned.
