NCT’s Doyoung is back in the spotlight for his chivalrous act during last year’s Milan Fashion Week. He gained attention when a viral video showed him draping his jacket over actress Moon Ga Young, who wore a revealing outfit.
In a recent YouTube appearance, Doyoung revealed the story behind the act.
“My shirt was a wrestler-level sleeveless shirt that was open all the way down to here. But I really didn’t want to take it off (and show the wrestler shirt), but Ga Young was wearing a revealing outfit, so I thought, ‘Should I take it off for her?’”
Doyoung admitted he didn’t expect his gesture to go viral, adding,
“Honestly, I didn’t know that this would become so viral. Look at my expression. It’s so annoying.”
Speculation about his motivations arose when Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon joked about him flexing his muscles while doing it.
“Honestly, there was this. I could’ve just taken it off like this, but I put it on her like this (flexing his muscles),” Doyoung said.
