G-Dragon has revealed his thoughts on marriage during a recent appearance on the YouTube talk show Halmyungsoo, hosted by comedian Park Myung Soo. This marked their first reunion in 14 years, held on May 14.
When asked by Park, “You’re in your 30s now — have you thought about marriage?” G-Dragon candidly replied, “It’s not that I haven’t thought about it. Of course I have, but I’m not thinking about it seriously right now.” He also added that when the time comes, he intends to sing the wedding song himself.
In a lighthearted exchange, G-Dragon mentioned that he’s never sung at anyone’s wedding, not even for his sister despite her request. He noted, “But if I get married, I’ll sing at my own wedding.” In their discussion, the topic of retirement also arose. Park shared his plans to retire at 65, stating it might be time for him to enjoy life. G-Dragon responded, “Maybe because I’m younger, but I haven’t set an age. In music, I don’t think it’s up to me. I still get inspired and feel passionate, so I’ll keep going as long as that continues.”
Park praised G-Dragon’s mindset, expressing, “You shouldn’t put a limit on yourself. You’re doing great, and I hope you keep showing the world your cool side.” Recently, G-Dragon has been in the spotlight due to renewed dating rumors with former After School member Lee Joo Yeon, sparked by a photo she posted that resembled his home interior.
G-Dragon and Lee Joo Yeon have been linked romantically before, dating back to 2017.
