NewJeans and KATSEYE have made it onto Billboard’s ’21 Under 21′, a prestigious list that highlights the most influential artists under the age of 21. The list was unveiled on May 16 and evaluates artists based on album sales, streaming figures, and overall impact.
NewJeans secured a spot for the second year running, despite ongoing legal issues involving their agency, ADOR, and parent company HYBE. Billboard noted, “Though NewJeans have made headlines in recent months due to legal tensions with HYBE, their chart dominance last year speaks to their fans’ unwavering passion.” Their latest release, ‘Get Up’, achieved an additional 220,000 sales last year, landing at No. 3 on the year-end Billboard World Albums chart.

Newcomer KATSEYE is featured on the list for the first time. Launched by HYBE and Geffen Records in June 2023, they are gaining traction with their hit single ‘Touch’ and an upcoming mini-album titled ‘Beautiful Chaos’, set to release next month.
Other significant artists on the 2024 list include singer-songwriter D4vd, who is scheduled to perform in Korea this November, and Jessie Murph, recently seen at the Coachella music festival in the U.S.
