EXO’s Baekhyun Unveils Final Teaser for ‘Essence of Reverie’
Baekhyun, a member of EXO and a solo artist, has released the final teaser for his upcoming comeback. On May 17 (KST), his agency INB100 shared the music video teaser for the title track, ‘Elevator’, from his fifth mini album ‘Essence of Reverie’, across official social media channels.
The teaser opens with Baekhyun noticing someone in an elevator, setting the tone before transitioning to scenes of him involved in a creative photo and video shoot. The visuals incorporate vivid, pop-art-inspired graphics, crafting an immersive experience akin to a visual novel.
In anticipation of the album’s release on May 19 at 6 p.m. KST, Baekhyun has engaged fans with various promotional materials, including concept photos, short films, and trailer clips. He also performed the pre-release track ‘Chocolate’ on ‘Music Bank’ on May 16 and offered glimpses of ‘Chocolate’ and the B-side track ‘Lemonade’ on ‘Show! Music Core’ on May 17.
The upcoming album, ‘Essence of Reverie’, explores the interplay between reality and idealism, representing Baekhyun’s artistic journey and future vision. This marks his return after the 2023 mini album ‘Hello, World’, where he embraced a fresh musical direction. In this new project, Baekhyun has contributed to writing and producing every track, collaborating once again with Colde, a duo noted for their successful partnership.
