Please respond if you are able to secure my anonymity and compensation (state the amount).” This communication was part of a broader scheme in which Mr. Yong claimed to possess evidence supporting his assertions.
Further complicating the situation is the involvement of Ms. Yang, who reportedly claimed to be pregnant with Son’s child and received ₩300 million KRW (about $214,000 USD) as part of this alleged blackmail. Police have confirmed that Ms. Yang is indeed pregnant, but have not verified the child’s paternity.
