K-pop girl group ILLIT is gearing up for their anticipated comeback next month. Their agency, BELIFT LAB, announced on May 19 that the group will release their third mini album, titled BOMB, on June 16.
The new album continues ILLIT’s distinctive storytelling, focusing on personal connections and growth, following their previous works. Their debut album, SUPERREAL ME, explored self-discovery, while their second release, I’LL LIKE YOU, captured feelings of affection. BOMB is expected to delve deeper into themes of connection.
ILLIT made a significant mark with their debut last year, when their track “Magnetic” became the first K-pop debut song to chart on both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Top 100. Building on that success, their second mini album’s title track, “Cherish (My Love)”, also gained traction, leading to 13 music awards, including seven Rookie of the Year honors in Korea, the U.S., and Japan.
In 2025, the group maintained their momentum by releasing “Almond Chocolate” as the theme song for a Japanese film, achieving high chart positions, including #10 on Oricon’s Weekly Streaming Ranking for the week of March 31 to April 6.
In conjunction with their album release, ILLIT is preparing for their first fan concert, 2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN SEOUL, on June 7-8 at Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park, with both dates already sold out during pre-sale. Pre-orders for BOMB began on May 19 at 11 AM KST.
