Not everyone agrees with the boycott.
ENHYPEN is facing challenges on social media, experiencing a notable drop in followers just as they gear up for the release of their much-anticipated album, Desire: Unleash. Following their recent concept teasers, the group is attempting to shift perceptions with an exciting new image.

Normally, groups see an uptick in followers during promotional periods, but ENHYPEN’s situation tells a different story due to an ongoing boycott tied to their collaboration with Cadbury. Fans who purchase a certain amount of candy from the brand will have a chance to enter a contest to win a trip to Seoul and meet the group.

Despite the excitement among many fans, a significant backlash has arisen due to Cadbury’s connections with Israel. While the brand itself isn’t on the official BDS boycott list, its parent company, Mondelez, has investments in Israeli startups, prompting some fans to call for a boycott.

The consequences of this controversy have already impacted ENHYPEN’s online presence. Over the past few days, the group has seen a staggering net loss of around 21,000 followers on Instagram and roughly 100,000 on TikTok.
Engine, please don’t close your eyes, boycott this collaboration!!

While a segment of the fandom is strongly against the collaboration, not all fans support the boycott, arguing that the decision is management-driven rather than a reflection of the group itself. Nonetheless, the fallout has been evident, with ENHYPEN’s social media following dwindling significantly.

As of now, there has been no official comment from BELIFT LAB regarding the situation. Fans will be watching closely to see how both the group and management navigate this complex issue moving forward.
