‘Squid Game’ Season 3 Set for June 27 Release
Lee Byung-hun electrified fans at the ‘TUDUM 2025’ event in Los Angeles, asking, “Are you ready for the final game?” as Netflix dropped the highly anticipated trailer for ‘Squid Game Season 3’.
The explosive new season promises a darker, more dangerous world, featuring giant robots and bloodstained arenas. Returning protagonist Seong Gi-hun, played by Lee Jung-jae, is haunted by his past, crying out, “Why did you only let me live?”
Lee Byung-hun returns as the chilling Frontman, posing the haunting question, “456, do you still trust people?” Viewers are curious if Gi-hun will emerge victorious once again.
Season 3 will introduce new faces along with fan favorites, building on an emotionally charged storyline. The infamous Young-hee robot is back, now joined by Cheol-su. Lee Jung-jae hinted, “Cheol-su won’t be kind,” confirming a brutal season ahead.
‘Squid Game’ reigned supreme with 27.1 million streams in 35 days during Season 2, making it the top-rated series of the 2024-2025 season. The fandom remains strong, especially among viewers aged 18–49.
The main cast, including Park Sung-hoon, Kang Ae-shim, and Choi Seung-hyun, took the stage, with Choi promising, “There’s no way I’d miss being part of something this amazing.”
Season 3 will consist of six episodes and premieres globally on Netflix on June 27.
