ENHYPEN Returns with ‘DESIRE : UNLEASH’ Amid High Expectations
ENHYPEN (엔하이픈) has just dropped their sixth mini album, ‘DESIRE : UNLEASH’, today, June 5, at 1 PM KST.
The album dives into a darker take on love and desire, featuring a signature blend of their intense concepts with a fresh twist. With over 2.18 million pre-orders, the release underscores their growing global impact.
Following a standout performance at Coachella, anticipation is sky-high for this comeback.
Jungwon shared, “It’s our first comeback in seven months. Coachella gave us a chance to reach a global audience.”
Jay echoed the sentiment, declaring this album a “turning point” for the group.
Ni-ki added, “We wanted to reward ENGENE, who waited for us, with something great.”
The title track, ‘Bad Desire (With or Without You)’, promises to be addictive, highlighted by Jake’s insight: “The more you listen, the more charming it becomes.”
Sunghoon emphasized the powerful choreography and emotional intensity, stating, “Expect intensity and emotion in every glance.”
Jay also boasts his first self-composed track, ‘Helium’, stating it allows fans to understand his musical vision.
Heeseung and Sunghoon revealed their favorites, with Heeseung praising ‘Helium’ for its stage energy and Sunghoon claiming ‘Flashover’ has a catchy melody that sticks.
Jungwon expressed hopes for amazing stage performances: “I want people to see our stage and immediately say, ‘Wow, they’re amazing.’”
As five-year artists, the members recognize the pressure to continually excel. Jake noted, “We feel the pressure to do better than the last.”
Jay’s Coachella experience was pivotal: “It was a dream stage for me. I hope to show deeper stage control in this comeback.”
