NCT’s Doyoung Faces Medical Scare on ‘I Live Alone’
NCT’s Doyoung revealed a shocking medical emergency during the June 6 episode of MBC’s reality show I Live Alone. After experiencing a severe allergic reaction, he was rushed to an emergency room.
“I was sick and took prescribed antibiotics, but I had an allergic reaction and had to go to the emergency room,” Doyoung shared. “That’s when I realized I needed to get checked properly.”
The singer detailed a recent incident where he struggled with a bad cold. After taking medication, he felt his throat swell and couldn’t breathe. He mentioned, “My chest felt tight, and the symptoms quickly worsened. When I got to the ER, they said it was likely due to an antibiotic allergy.”
Fellow cast member Key added his own experience, stating, “I had a similar situation where I suddenly developed a reaction to penicillin. My throat swelled; it was the first time it happened — only after I reached my late 20s to 30s.”
The episode highlighted the risks of adult-onset allergies, stressing the need for vigilance with medications, even those previously tolerated.
