Kim Jong Suk has passed away, shocking the Korean entertainment world.
The 29-year-old model reportedly died on June 4. His family confirmed the news on June 6, the day of his funeral.
His sister posted on social media urging fans to stop spreading baseless rumors or hate comments during this difficult time.
The cause of death has not been disclosed. The news first circulated after a friend shared it on social media on June 5.
Another acquaintance posted a photo of a funeral wreath from Kim’s memorial, writing:
"I still can’t believe it…I hope you’re at peace now, without any pain."
Kim’s funeral was held on the morning of June 6 at Maru Park Funeral Home in Hanam. He was laid to rest at Chuncheon Rest Garden and Yanggu Memorial Park.
He was active on social media days before his death. His last post was just three days prior. Fans and peers flooded his posts with disbelief and grief. By the afternoon of June 6, his Instagram was made private by family.
Kim first gained attention with a DASHU men’s grooming ad. He rose to fame after appearing on tvN’s variety show The Skip Dating in 2022, hosted by Yoo Jae Suk, Jeon So Min, and Nuksal.
