NCT’s Doyoung is involved in a health scare after revealing details about an alarming allergic reaction. On the June 6 broadcast of MBC’s I Live Alone, Doyoung visited a hospital to discuss the results of his allergy tests.
He shared, > "Some time ago, I was prescribed medicine for a cold. But after taking the medicine, I had a severe allergic reaction and had to go to the emergency room."
His doctor confirmed the reactions could mimic those caused by infections, suggesting that stress could play a role. Thankfully, Doyoung is not allergic to common cold medicines like penicillin, amoxicillin, or gelatin bovine.
But things took a surprising turn. The doctor reported that Doyoung has a Class 2 allergy to apples and a Class 4 allergy to cats, birch trees, and peaches. Doyoung reacted, > "I don’t think I’ve ever experienced any sort of discomfort after eating peaches. So I’ve just been eating them."
He did admit, > "But I do remember my throat feeling tingly after eating apples."
The allergy test also indicated elevated IgE levels, suggesting Doyoung is prone to allergic reactions, asthma, and skin infections.
