Movie critic Lee Dong Jin revealed he saved a popular actor from a scandal after uncovering a suspicious comment history.
During a recent episode of Lifeplus TV’s “Lifeplus Weekly,” Lee Dong Jin recounted an old interview with a well-known actor. After posting the article, the actor left a polite, grateful comment that seemed genuine.
“A long time ago, I did an interview with a well-known actor. After the interview, I wrote up the article and uploaded it online. Right after I posted it, a single comment appeared. When I checked, it seemed like the actor had written it personally. It said something like, ‘This is so-and-so. The interview was such a great experience, and I’m really thankful that you understood my thoughts so well.’ The comment was incredibly polite and respectful.”

Curious about the comment’s authenticity, Lee checked the user’s comment history.
“I got curious, like, ‘Did so-and-so really write this comment?!’ So I clicked on the user’s comment history.”

What he found shocked him. The same account had a trail of hateful, malicious posts targeting other celebrities.
“And to my shock, the previous comments were all hateful posts about other celebrities. They had been pretending to be someone else and posting malicious comments.”

Lee immediately contacted the actor and urged them to delete the comment. Though annoyed at first, the actor eventually agreed after Lee explained the situation.
“The first thing that came to mind was, ‘This is going to become a disaster if it got out.’ So, I started asking around, finally got a hold of the actor’s contact information, and called them within 10 minutes. When I asked them if they had commented on my article, they said yes.
I told them, ‘Well, you need to delete that comment immediately.’ They were confused and a bit annoyed, asking, ‘Why?’ I told them to check their previous comment history and that they’d understand.”

The actor later called back to thank Lee and explained the hateful comments were from a younger, foolish time.
“About 30 minutes after we hung up, they called me back to say thank you. They said it was something they did when they were younger and foolish, and they were really grateful I helped.”

Fans are now speculating wildly about the actor’s identity, with many shocked a famous figure was involved in trolling.
“Wow. I can’t even guess who. But Lee Dong Jin probably doesn’t have a good impression of them anymore.”
“Why even tell the actor though? Should’ve let them crash and burn.”
“Good thing it was Lee Dong Jin. Imagine if it was someone who didn’t like the actor.”
