ENHYPEN is dominating the music charts in Japan with their new mini album ‘DESIRE : UNLEASH’. Released on June 6, the album sold a whopping 275,344 copies on its first day. It debuted at number one on the Oricon Daily Album Ranking.
This marks the twelfth consecutive time ENHYPEN has topped the Oricon Daily charts upon release. All their albums have clinched the top spot in both Korea and Japan.
First-day sales for ‘DESIRE : UNLEASH’ are the highest in their history—nearly double the sales of their previous release, the repackage ‘ROMANCE : UNTOLD – daydream’. Their influence in Japan continues to grow.
The album also reached the top of Japan’s iTunes and Apple Music charts right after its launch.
The title track ‘Bad Desire (With or Without You)’ is receiving rave reviews. It topped the Realtime Rising Music Top 100 on AWA, hit the top ten on Oricon’s Daily Digital Single Ranking, and landed at number six on LINE MUSIC Japan’s Music Video Top 100.
Global interest is surging, too. ‘DESIRE : UNLEASH’ has sold over 1.95 million copies in just three days, putting ENHYPEN on track for their third double million-seller. Praise from overseas media is pouring in. Dazed UK called it “an impressively cohesive album,” while Billboard Philippines noted that ENHYPEN “continues to challenge artistic boundaries.”
