2PM’s Taecyeon admits struggling with cheesy lines in new K-Drama with SNSD’s Seohyun
2PM member and actor Taecyeon recently opened up about the difficulties he faced while filming his latest fantasy romance drama, The First Night With The Duke, starring alongside Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun.
On June 11, Taecyeon and Seohyun appeared as special guests on KBS Cool FM’s Lee Eun Ji’s Gayo Plaza to promote the series. When asked about memorable lines, the two acted out a scene where Seohyun’s character asks,
“Are you crazy?”
and Taecyeon’s character replies,
“Of course I am…for Cha Seon Chaek” (Seohyun’s character).
Taecyeon revealed the cheesy line gave him goosebumps, joking about how tough it was to deliver in a serious tone.
Host Lee Eun Ji said,
“The scene must have been hilarious to film.”
Seohyun added,
“It was funny to watch him struggle with the line.”
Taecyeon playfully complained,
“She didn’t help me at all!”
He explained Seohyun kept teasing him by saying,
“Oppa, get away from me”
during takes, making it harder to stay in character. Seohyun said the set atmosphere was light and filled with laughter.
The First Night With The Duke premiered on June 11, but it quickly got reported to the police amidst controversy. The situation is still developing.
