Fourth Generation Boy Band Reduces to Three Members in Under Two Years

4th Gen Boy Group Loses 3 Members In Less Than 2 Years

NINE.i’s Seowon has officially left the group.

On June 13, NINE.i announced on their X account that Seowon departed for “personal reasons.” No additional details were given.

The group will continue as a seven-member unit.

"Seowon, who has been with NINE.i as a member, has decided to leave the team due to personal reasons."

"We sincerely apologize for causing concern to many fans with this sudden news."

"As a result, NINE.i will continue activities as a 7-member group moving forward."

"Once again, we are truly sorry for the sudden news and for distressing our fans."

Seowon was known for competing on BOYS II PLANET, but was expected to return to group activities after the show.

NINE.i recently dealt with legal issues by leaving their original company. The group started as ten members. Winnie left in 2024 and Joohyoung departed earlier this year, shrinking the group to eight before Seowon’s exit.

NINE.i will keep moving forward as seven members. Fans and Seowon’s future activities are being closely watched.
