BTS members Jimin and Jungkook are trending after their recent Weverse live session. They celebrated their discharge from military service with fans and shared some unexpected humor.
Jimin revealed he gained 10 kilograms during his service. His explanation? The meals!
“Believe it or not, I’ve been dieting for a long time. But in the military, surrounded by big guys and seeing fit officers, I also wanted to bulk up,” he said.
He continued with a laugh,
“The trays are the problem. The rice is packed, the soup has carbs, and even the side dishes are loaded with them.”
Jungkook chimed in, endorsing Jimin’s claims:
“Military food is seriously high in calories—but also really tasty.”
Fans flooded the comments on the live stream. Reactions varied from, “Blame the food trays!” to “Even with weight gain, he still looks amazing.”
Jimin and Jungkook were discharged from the Army’s 5th Infantry Division on June 11. With RM and V released a day earlier, six BTS members have completed their military duties. SUGA, currently serving as a public service worker, will finish on June 21 (KST).
In related news, the “2025 BTS FESTA” event drew over 60,000 ARMYs, featuring heartfelt recorded messages from the members: “We’ve missed you so much,” and “We’re excited to do a lot of new things. Please look forward to it.”
