Taeil is facing serious allegations. The former NCT member’s first court hearing is today, June 18 KST.

Originally set for May 12, the hearing was delayed. Taeil, whose real name is Moon Tae Il, has been indicted for aggravated quasi-rape.

The charges stem from an incident last June. Taeil and two accomplices are accused of sexually assaulting an intoxicated woman. This crime is classified under the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes. The law targets offenses committed by multiple individuals against a victim unable to resist.

Taeil debuted in 2016 as part of NCT U and later joined NCT 127. Following the charges, SM Entertainment terminated his contract in October.

Stay tuned for updates on the hearing.
