Ju Haknyeon is facing controversy over claims he slept with Japanese AV actress Asuka Kirara.
Youtuber Lee Jin Ho posted a video revealing the scandal, which shocked fans and the industry. According to Lee, Ju Haknyeon’s agency and associates were unaware until Japanese media outlet Bunshun sent out a Q&A probing his private life. The questions included if they had physical contact and if he had been to her house, with suggestions of dating.
Lee explained the agency’s response after uncovering Ju Haknyeon had admitted to acquaintances that he had “sex with Asuka Kirara.” The agency immediately separated him from THE BOYZ members and withdrew him from the group. Ju Haknyeon reportedly protested leaving the team.

Lee also claimed that after attending an award ceremony in Yokohama last month, Ju Haknyeon spent the night in a private room around 4 AM with Japanese women including Asuka Kirara. The group reportedly drank, played games, and had an intimate time.
