Ju Haknyeon Faces Controversy with One Hundred Label
Former THE BOYZ member Ju Haknyeon is in hot water with his agency, One Hundred Label. A scandal has erupted over a private meeting he had with Japanese AV actress Asuka Kirara, leading to a public fallout.
On June 20, One Hundred Label issued a strong statement, expressing "deep regret" over what they called Ju’s “unilateral and false claims.” They cited damages to the group’s reputation and announced they would terminate his contract, referencing Article 6, Clause 3 regarding “damage to dignity.”
The agency added, "In order to prevent additional harm… we will take strong legal action using all available means."
Ju responded on Instagram the same day, vehemently denying any allegations of illegal activity, particularly prostitution.
“I have done nothing illegal. If there is evidence of prostitution, reveal it now,” he stated.
He claimed the agency sought 2 billion KRW (about $1.45 million USD) in damages without legitimate grounds for termination. Ju insisted he never agreed to leave the company.
"The agency ignored the proper contractual process… I will no longer remain silent—I intend to speak the truth,” he declared.
The controversy ignited in late May when rumors surfaced about Ju attending a private gathering with Asuka Kirara in Roppongi, Tokyo. Photos of them together sparked widespread criticism. The agency acted swiftly, suspending him on June 16 and officially announcing the contract termination on June 18.
With both sides entrenched in their narratives, this dispute is expected to head to court. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story!
