“Agency Responds to Shocking Teasers Surrounding Condom Controversy of 5th Generation Girl Group”

“Condom Controversy” 5th Gen Girl Group’s Agency Addresses Shocking Teasers

Baby DONT Cry is facing backlash over their debut teaser.

The controversy began with the June 20 release of their “F Girl” music video teaser. A scene showed a member placing a small packet on a counter and putting what looked like candy in her mouth. Viewers quickly noticed the packet resembled a condom wrapper.

Tweets exploded, especially since 3 of the 4 members are minors. Fans called out the provocative title “F Girl” combined with the youthful image as highly inappropriate.

P NATION responded with an official apology.

"We deeply regret any discomfort or concern this may have caused, and we offer our heartfelt apologies to those affected."
— P NATION

The agency explained the teaser intended to send a bold, playful message about rejecting imposed labels and embracing oneself.

“F Girl” contains the message of embracing one’s authentic self and moving beyond externally imposed standards, such as A-F letter grades or labels.

They also clarified the full music video contains no sexualized content and that the controversial scene was meant to evoke a rebellious tone with chewing gum and lollipops.

"There was never any intent to sexualize this scene. Furthermore, we affirm that the full music video contains no provocative or sexualized content of any kind."
— P NATION

Still, the scene will be removed from the final video to avoid further misunderstanding.

The cherry imagery in the concept also drew criticism. P NATION addressed this as well.

"The cherry was chosen to embody vibrancy, boldness, and youthful energy—qualities that reflect the group’s identity… At no point did we consider or reference any interpretations beyond this positive spirit."
— P NATION

P NATION ended by promising to protect the members and respect fan feedback ahead of the official “F Girl” single drop on June 23, 6PM KST.
