BTS is breaking records again! The group just snagged four new Platinum certifications from the RIAA, solidifying their status as the K-pop artist with the most RIAA Platinum records in the U.S.
On June 24, the Recording Industry Association of America updated its official Gold & Platinum list. BTS received new Platinum certifications for singles “Run,” “Blood Sweat & Tears,” “DNA,” and “Fake Love.” Each song topped 1 million units in combined sales and streams.
With these latest achievements, BTS now holds a total of 13 Platinum records, extending their lead in the K-pop realm. They’re not new to this, having previously received Platinum certifications for massive hits like “MIC Drop” and “Butter.”
In 2023, BTS made history as the first K-pop group to achieve 5× Platinum status with “Dynamite.” They’ve also picked up new Gold certifications for “Save ME,” “Spring Day,” “ON,” “Black Swan,” and “Permission to Dance,” each crossing the 500,000-unit mark.
