Ex-Police Officer Arrested for Stalking Popular Trot Singer Using Police Resources
An ex-police officer, identified as Ms. A, was arrested on June 21 for stalking a popular trot singer by using police resources to obtain the singer’s address.
Around 1 a.m. on June 21, Ms. A was caught knocking on the front door and ringing the doorbell of a private residence. After first responders confronted her, she left but soon returned, pressing her back against the door to eavesdrop on sounds inside. Police chased her away again, but she came back roughly four hours later.
Ms. A had an active restraining order against her since December last year, officially listed in March. Police applied for a new restraining order, but she showed up before the court decided. She was taken into custody as a result.
She had previously been charged with unlawfully entering residential buildings multiple times since July last year. Ms. A also made 230 false reports, including claims of someone trapped inside or sexual assault occurring.
Ms. A believed the house belonged to a popular trot singer and stalked the property to invade their privacy. The home, however, was owned by an ordinary person who merely resembled the singer.
In April last year, Ms. A accessed an internal police network to get the singer’s address and visited the residence. After a disciplinary hearing in February, she was suspended and officially dismissed from the police force.
Police report:
"Ms. A used an internal police network to obtain the singer’s address and went to their residence."
The incident is being treated seriously following multiple violations and a clear pattern of stalking behavior.
