Park Bo-young and Co. Wrap Up Emotional Journey in ‘Our Unwritten Seoul’ Finale

Park Bo-young (박보영), Park Jin-young (박진영), and Ryu Kyung-soo (류경수) just closed the chapter on tvN’s hit drama Our Unwritten Seoul (미지의 서울), leaving fans in tears. The finale, aired June 28, delivered record-breaking ratings—9% on average and a peak of 10.3% in Seoul, marking its highest yet.

The finale delivered closure for emotional journeys. Park Bo-young’s character, Yoo Mi-ji, found her way to university, aiming to become a counseling psychologist. Park Jin-young’s Lee Ho-soo learned to embrace his silence, reinvigorating his will to live. Their on-screen bond resonated deeply with viewers.

Yoo Mi-rae, also played by Park Bo-young, stunned fans by thriving as a strawberry farmer. Ryu Kyung-soo’s Han Se-jin made a romantic return to Korea, recognizing Mi-rae in a poignant moment. Supporting characters wrapped up their arcs, with Kim Ok-hee and Yeom Bun-hong finally bonding, and Hyun Sang-wol overcoming dyslexia.

Not all was joy in the finale, though. Grandmother Kang Wol-soon (Cha Mi-kyung) passed away, bringing a wave of tears to audiences as she smiled peacefully for her family.

The drama, praised for its heartfelt portrayal of love and self-acceptance, appealed across all ages. Writers and directors executed a masterful blend of storytelling with stunning visuals, soaring above 200 million digital views during its run.
