Park Bo-gum’s ‘Good Boy’ Hits New Highs with Episode 10
‘Good Boy’ is on a ratings roll thanks to Park Bo-gum’s intense return in Episode 10. The drama scored a staggering 6.1% nationwide and 6.0% in Seoul, per Nielsen Korea.
In the latest episode aired June 29, Yoon Dong-joo (Park Bo-gum) took on a dark, vigilante role, targeting Oh Jung-se‘s cartel. The Special Crime Task Force is disbanded, leaving the characters reeling.
Kim Jong-hyun (Lee Sang-yi) is in serious trouble after being shot and falling into the sea, casting uncertainty over his police career.
Meanwhile, Min Joo-young (Oh Jung-se) has manipulated politics by dissolving the task force and transferring key cases, while Ji Han-na (Kim So-hyun) is demoted to the evidence storage basement.
Dong-joo’s mental state deteriorates as he struggles with punch-drunk syndrome. His doctor warns of severe health risks, but he keeps fighting through the gloom.
“No matter how much you struggle, nothing will change,” Min mocks him during a chance encounter.
Despite the setbacks, he finds inspiration from mentor Go Man-sik. Dong-joo vows to reclaim his dignity and honor, especially with Jung Mi-ja (Seo Jeong-yeon) lying unconscious after a shooting.
A pivotal moment comes from a hit-and-run victim’s son, driving Dong-joo to fight back against the injustice around him.
He starts dismantling Min’s network by targeting illegal gambling rings and food supply centers. Clad in a black hoodie, Dong-joo becomes a vigilante that everyone recognizes.
The climax sees him launching a fierce attack in Club Dark Horse.
