Legendary Male Idol Confesses Receiving A DM From IU

Joon Park opened up about facing racial discrimination in the U.S. during a recent JTBC broadcast.

On the June 28 episode of Knowing Bros, the g.o.d member shared his painful childhood experience on World Dice Tour 2.

He said,

Joon Park
"When I was young, racial discrimination was severe in America. When I was with my friends, they would turn away from me because they were afraid they would be teased too."

He added that the beach and waves were his only comfort growing up, comparing them to friends while looking out at the Sea of Portugal.

After the broadcast, Joon Park revealed he received a supportive DM from IU.

IU
"Please keep appearing on TV broadcasts. I love how you give positive energy to people with a hard time."

Joon Park responded,

Joon Park
“IU is special and I’m proud of her.”

IU is well known for her fandom of g.o.d and has shown her support many times, including appearing nervously as a guest at a g.o.d concert. This message only confirmed her ongoing love for the group.
