BTS is officially preparing for a long-awaited full-group comeback.
On July 1, all seven members reunited for a live broadcast on Weverse. This was their first full-group appearance on the platform in nearly two years and nine months.
Jimin: “We’re back. We’re finally all together again.”
The excitement was palpable as they celebrated the end of their military hiatus.
Jimin revealed his joy, saying,
“It’s such a blessing to hold my phone in the middle of the night. Being able to scroll through it while lying in bed again feels amazing.”
The livestream also touched on j-hope’s solo tour, Hope on the Street. Members shared their experiences from his performance at the Goyang Sports Complex.
SUGA: “It’s been a while since I watched a daytime performance. I really enjoyed it.”
Jin recently launched his solo fan concert, Run-Seokjin: Episode Tour, at the same venue. Members praised his piano performance.
The highlight of the broadcast? BTS announced their next group album.
RM: “We’re going to make an incredible album. Starting in July, we’ll begin focusing on making music together.”
When RM inquired about the album’s release, V chimed in that it would drop in spring 2026.
Jimin: “Some of you might have expected something right after we were discharged, but we couldn’t prepare anything while serving. We need to start from now.”
Details are scarce, but it appears this will be a full-length studio album. If this is the case, it would be their first since Map of the Soul: 7, released six years ago.
V plans to work on music in the U.S.
RM: “We might start in the U.S. and move around to different places.”
Before closing the livestream, RM shared more exciting news.
“Our new album, the first in six years, will come out next spring. We’re also planning a world tour after that. Just wait a little longer.”
