Seo Won Jeong is facing backlash after resurfacing following a sexual assault scandal. The influencer, known as @ox_zung on TikTok and the most followed non-celebrity Korean with over 55 million followers, disappeared for more than a year before the controversy broke.
The controversy began in 2023 when Seo was linked to the "Influencer A" in a sexual assault case. SBS reported:
“Influencer A and one other man was arrested for sexually assaulting a woman.”
“Influencer A” and another man had drinks with “Woman B,” then took her to the other man’s house and raped her. “Woman B” called police saying she “heard recording noises when she woke up after having fallen asleep” and was sexually assaulted by both men.
SBS also confirmed:
“It has been confirmed that ‘Influencer A’ refused to open the door when the police showed up to investigate the scene. The fire department had to get involved to force the door open.”
Seo’s involvement was initially unnamed, but followers recognized him from blurred footage shared in reports.
In April 2025, Seo was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison. A second trial reduced the charge to attempted rape, citing lack of evidence for gang rape. The sentence was downgraded to 1 year and 6 months, suspended for 2 years. Seo also reportedly reached an agreement with the victim.
Seo apologized publicly on May 27, admitting cooperation with the investigation. After a break, he returned to posting on TikTok starting July 3, sharing videos of himself cleaning and bowing, then resuming typical content.
