KOYOTE Shinji’s fiancé MoonOne faces military bullying allegations
MoonOne, singer and fiancé of KOYOTE’s Shinji, is under fire for alleged military bullying. The controversy blew up after a netizen claimed MoonOne caused difficulties in their discharge from the military.
On July 4, Sports Chosun interviewed “A,” MoonOne’s junior and second-in-command during their 2009 military service.
"A" said they shared a small guard team barrack with MoonOne.
Junior soldier “A”:
“Sometimes I don’t know the people in the group, but we were fewer than 100 people, and sometimes there were about 70 of us, so most of us knew one another. MoonOne was nine months my senior.”
Regarding bullying claims, “A” denies any memory of such behavior.
Junior soldier “A”:
“I have absolutely no memory of MoonOne assaulting or bullying anyone. You can probably see when you talk to him, but he’s not the type to hit anyone. He was much older, so if he had assaulted me, I would have said so. He wasn’t a bad person.”
“A” also gave insight into working with MoonOne.
Junior soldier “A”:
“The shooter and assistant shooter work in pairs, which is great. He talked about personal things and made me feel comfortable. When climbing mountains or working, we would take turns cooling off and resting comfortably.”
They added MoonOne exercised and sang daily during service.
MoonOne has faced multiple questionable claims since announcing his marriage to Shinji. He recently responded to bullying allegations in a lengthy statement, promising to provide evidence to clear his name.
