Yeo Min Jeong exploded into controversy in 2013 for a wardrobe malfunction at the Pucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. Her high-slit dress slipped, exposing her thong and briefly revealing her breast on live TV. The public accused her of staging the stunt.
The actress, known for her work in Korean adult films like Manner Teacher, Let’s Go Rose Motel, and AV Idol, later denied the incident was intentional. In a 2020 YouTube interview, Yeo claimed she was "caught up in the moment” and didn’t realize her strap had fallen.
Yeo Min Jeong has since left the adult film industry and reinvented herself as Son Bi Ya. She switched careers to become a Mandarin teacher and pursued modeling, often appearing on men’s magazine covers.
Her transformation goes deeper. Son Bi Ya once owned a café, Coffee Evanada, in Seoul’s Mapo District, which has since closed. She is now an adjunct MBA professor at Kyung Hee University, teaching Korean Wave content. She advises major investment firms like DB Financial Investment and Mirae Asset on art investment.
Son Bi Ya also works as a therapist and serves on multiple social committees in Mapo District, focusing on school violence and women’s and children’s safety. She acts as director of both the Mapo Culture and Tourism Council and Gallery Mom, an art gallery in Seoul.
Her public persona now goes by Sonfeya Kim, marking a dramatic life change from her controversial past.
"I was caught up in the moment, busy trying to pose in front of the camera, and didn’t notice my strap falling off."
