BLACKPINK is facing backlash after chaotic incidents marred their DEADLINE tour opening nights at Seoul’s Goyang Stadium on July 5 and 6.
Over 78,000 fans showed up for the return of the group after almost three years. But the shows were plagued by disorder in the VIP section. Fans without valid VIP tickets illegally entered the area, causing major disruptions. One male fan was caught on video getting aggressive when confronted by others.
Fans climbed over barriers and ignored seating rules, sparking frustration among legitimate VIP attendees and the crowd.
The chaos escalated when an audience member splashed water on those invading the VIP zones. Some saw this as a justified protest, but others criticized it as adding to the unruly environment. It’s possible the man also hit valid ticket holders with water during his outburst.
The disorder forced BLACKPINK to pause performances multiple times to address safety concerns. The members urged fans to move back from overcrowded areas. Lisa had to firmly respond when a fan threw a stuffed toy on stage, tossing it off while warning the crowd to stop throwing objects.
Fans are now demanding stricter crowd control and better seating enforcement for the rest of the DEADLINE tour.
Meanwhile, YG Entertainment is under fire for selling poor seats, prompting refund demands after some attendees ended up with "no view" sections.
The trouble at BLACKPINK’s comeback concerts is turning the spotlight on event management as fans call for improvements to prevent future chaos.
