Dark Side of “WATERBOMB” — Assault Allegations Emerge After Kwon Eunbi Incident

Dark Side Of "WATERBOMB" — Stories Of Assault Surface Following Kwon Eunbi's Alleged Sexual Harassment

Kwon Eunbi is facing backlash after her performance at 2025 WATERBOMB SEOUL sparked controversy over being “too sexual” and provoking misogynistic comments online.

The issue escalated when a now-deleted viral post alleged that Eunbi was sexually harassed by an attendee during the event. The claim has ignited debates about the idol’s autonomy and safety at such festivals.

The person who shared the harassment report also revealed disturbing experiences at WATERBOMB events, exposing a pattern of reckless and harmful behavior by some attendees.

Many described being unexpectedly targeted with water guns, having buckets dumped on them, and worse — including incidents involving alcohol used instead of water. Some accounts even detailed physical harm like burst blood vessels from high-pressure streams.

“I went to Waterbomb and someone shot my friend in the eye with a high-pressure water gun, making them lose their contact lenses and bursting blood vessels. They had to be treated for a while. And when we went to refill water, there was a group saying sh*t like if it would turn the women on to get shot in the clit and snickering. It’s full of crazy psychopaths. I would never go back.” — OP

“People had hair dye melting down their faces, people spraying directly into your eyes and at your contact lenses—it was wild. And the worst part is, those people don’t even remember what they did.” — OP

“When I went, the water refill station was really far away, so people were filling up leftover beer and shooting it. And there were a lot of people who only aimed their water guns at faces and private parts, and some would walk by and shoot right into your face, up close. I went once and never again.” — OP

“One time, my friend wanted to go, so I went with her. There was a faucet area to fill up water guns and when I got there, some guy dumped an entire bucket of water on me from above, starting from my head. I suddenly couldn’t breathe… I honestly almost had a breathing emergency.” — OP

These stories reveal troubling safety issues at WATERBOMB that go beyond just Eunbi’s situation.

As the controversy gains traction, calls for better security and respect at these events are growing louder. Organizers have yet to publicly respond to the harassment allegations.

The WATERBOMB festival’s reputation is now under serious scrutiny.
