‘Coffee Prince’ Actress Announces End of Dating, Focuses on Preparing for Death

"Coffee Prince" Actress Says She Is Done Dating, Now Preparing For Death Instead

Chae Jung An shocks fans with no plans to remarry, focusing instead on independent aging

Chae Jung An, known for her role in Coffee Prince, made it clear she won’t walk down the aisle again. The actress, who divorced in 2007 after a brief marriage, recently revealed on Lee Jihye’s YouTube channel that marriage is off the table.

When asked by Lee if she might remarry, Chae snapped:

Chae Jung An: “Oh, because I’m pretty…? But I definitely don’t want to get remarried.”

She explained her mindset shifted away from relationships to preparing for the future:

Chae Jung An: “In fact, these days, I’m preparing for my own death.”

Lee was taken aback, but Chae clarified:

Chae Jung An: “I mean that I’m trying to move away from my maximalist lifestyle… If I were to pass away out of the blue, who is going to take care of all the stuff I leave behind? You know?”

The star confirmed she’s actively planning for retirement and financial independence:

Chae Jung An: “But I’m still paying into the national pension and also contributing to a retirement savings plan. My goal is… I want to move into a nice senior community. I want to be the most hottest one there.”

Chae also mentioned she’s kept mostly single since a public relationship in 2012, with no current dating plans.

Fans will be watching to see if the “Ace Grandma” title becomes hers, as she continues aiming for self-sufficiency and ageless style.
