GOT7's BamBam Credits Popular Female Idol For Helping Him Get Out Of A Slump

BamBam reveals Jihyo’s home-cooked meals helped him through mental struggles

GOT7’s BamBam opened up about how TWICE leader Jihyo was a lifesaver during his tough times.

On July 15, TWICE’s official YouTube posted a “twenty-idol” party video celebrating Jihyo’s 20 years at JYP Entertainment. The event included close friends like BamBam, Nayeon, Heongyeon, SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu and Seungkwan, and former I.O.I’s Sejeong and Nayoung.

BamBam shared that during the COVID-19 pandemic, he and Jihyo lost touch. Then, out of the blue, she messaged him:

“How have you been?”

BamBam admitted he was struggling mentally. Jihyo immediately invited him over and made him a home-cooked meal.

BamBam:
“I live alone, right? No parents around either. She said, ‘Maybe it’s because you haven’t had a home-cooked meal.’”

Jihyo cooked grilled fish and even fed BamBam chicken feet she had saved for herself.

Jihyo said,
“I only share chicken feet with people I consider extremely dear.”

After that meal and talk, BamBam felt uplifted and ready to get back on his feet.
