IVE’s Wonyoung is facing controversy after being compared to former (G)I-DLE member Soojin.
The debate sparked on an online forum following Wonyoung’s press photos taken at the airport on July 19 KST. Users pointed out striking similarities in their features, including eye shape, facial moles, and lip fullness.
Many commenters noted that Wonyoung looked slightly puffy that day, possibly due to forgoing her usual contact lenses. Some admitted they were surprised by how much they resembled each other.
Others suggested Wonyoung appeared to have "gained a bit of weight," which might have altered her look. Several opinions noted she could have "gotten too much lip filler," leading to noticeable changes.
Wonyoung wasn’t just compared to Soojin. Users drew parallels to actresses Lee Yu Bi and Go Hyun Jung as well.
