PURPLE KISS is disbanding less than two years after debut, shocking fans worldwide.
RBW Entertainment dropped the bombshell, announcing the group will end all group promotions by November. The company cited lengthy talks with members about their futures and said they must “respect each other’s opinions and cherish our individual dreams.”
The announcement came unexpectedly, especially with the group having just released their second single album last month.
RBW confirmed scheduled activities will continue for now, including the August drop of their English album, ongoing Japanese promotions, a U.S. tour, and concerts in Korea.
“PURPLE KISS will conclude its group promotions in November. Because we deeply care about the group, we have had long and serious discussions with the members about their future. Ultimately, we have concluded that we should respect each other’s opinions and cherish our individual dreams.”

“Although the group activities will end, we plan to continue with our scheduled activities as a way to repay the fans’ love and support. Starting with the release of their English album at the end of August, they will continue their Japanese promotions, tour across America, and hold concerts in Korea during the time we have left.”

Fans are devastated and flooded social media with reactions:
- “The vocal members were so good, I was a casual listener…I hope the vocal members continue music.”
- “They had good music, but I guess it never connected to becoming a fan? I guess it must be hard since there are so many groups from big companies.”
- “So sad, they had so many great songs.”
- “I still listen to ‘Zombie’. But I guess RBW is the problem… it’s hard to bring in more fans.”
- “I hope they continue music wherever they are.”
RBW wrapped up by thanking the six members and fans for their passion and support.
The abrupt disbandment leaves PURPLE KISS’s future members’ careers uncertain as fans brace for the group’s final months on stage.
