Kim Byung Man has cut all legal ties with his former stepdaughter just weeks before his upcoming wedding.
On August 8, the Seoul Family Court ruled in favor of Kim’s petition to revoke the adoption of “B,” daughter of his ex-wife “A” from her previous marriage.
Kim married “A” in 2010 and adopted her daughter B. After their 2019 separation, the messy divorce dragged on until 2023 when the Supreme Court finalized it. Despite the divorce, Kim remained B’s legal father — until now.
The court’s decision followed claims that B changed her testimony. She first called Kim “a good father” but later accused him of assaulting her mother.
Kim’s agency said the judge sided with him this time after a prior revocation attempt was dismissed.
Kim is preparing to remarry on September 20. His new bride has two children, and fans will see the blended family on TV Chosun’s Lovers of Joseon later this month.
Netizens are buzzing over the timeline and waiting to see how much will be revealed on TV.
