fromis_9 is facing backlash over bathroom arrangements at their first world tour concert in Seoul.
The concert, which kicked off recently, drew a huge majority of male fans—9:1 ratio. To accommodate the crowd, the women’s restroom was temporarily converted into a men’s restroom.
This move sparked outrage online, especially among female netizens.
“What if they install molkas?”
“We’re f*cked.”
“Are they crazy? Just install portable toilets…people aren’t in their right minds.”
“I understand why, but I hope they do a molka detection test afterwards.”
“I don’t want to share the bathroom with dirty men for even a second.”
“I can’t help but feel dirty, but if the ratio is 9:1, I guess they have no choice…”
“No thoughts, just shocked at how many male fans there are.”
“I guess this can happen.”
“We are going to have to check thoroughly for molkas.”
“Are they crazy? What if they install molkas while they’re in there?”
While it’s common for concert venues in Korea to switch restrooms like this, fans say the risk of hidden cameras (molkas) is unacceptable.
fromis_9 expressed gratitude at the concert:
“We will continue to become people you can be even more proud of in the future. Thank you for believing in us, and we love you.”
The group’s world tour will continue across the United States, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong following the Seoul stop.
Fans and netizens are now monitoring how venue organizers will address the bathroom safety concerns moving forward.
