Secret Number faces backlash after major lineup overhaul
Secret Number was expected to disband after losing 4 members in April 2025. Only original members Soodam and Zuu remained, fueling rumors the group would end.
But on August 14, Vine Entertainment shocked fans by announcing a new Secret Number lineup with four new members:
- Dinda from Indonesia
- Minssi from England
- Korea-born Ebin
- Korea-born Nabi
Fans are divided. Some welcome the fresh faces, hoping they’ll save the group.
“welcome EBINNNNN ” — 𝙖 𝙇𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙮 𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙮 (@watcher_daily)
“We will be there” — Will #1 Rumi Fan (@March9th1989)
Others slam the agency for holding on to the brand instead of rebranding. Fans also suspect the addition of another Indonesian member is a move to keep that fanbase after allegations of mistreatment that led to the previous Indonesian member’s exit.
“senum trying to pull a fifi by replacing almost all of their members and even getting another indonesian member to keep their fanbase,,, they shouldve just rebranded ” — jelli (@eunfims)
“this fuckass agency thought they could get away with mistreating their *previous artists by debuting another indonesian bc they have a market here and we will blatantly support them” — ben ✶ (@rotibite)
“replacing dita with another Indonesian won’t make u free from being fifty fifty 2.0” — arthur (@arthrw_)
Secret Number’s survival now depends on whether fans embrace the drastic makeover or see it as just a brand hold. The new lineup debuted amid mixed reactions — but the agency is moving full steam ahead.
