Seo Eunkwang is winning over fans with his viral cover of HUNTR/X’s “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters — and shutting down criticism at the same time.
Since Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters dropped, idols have been taking on the soundtrack’s insane vocal challenges. “Golden” is notorious for being one of the highest-pitched, hardest songs to nail. Many idols faced backlash for autotune or missing notes.
Not Seo Eunkwang.
He posted his “Golden” cover on his official YouTube channel — his first cover there. Eunkwang tackled the original key live, impressing fans with his vocal range and power.
He explained his motivation:
Hello! This is BTOB’s Seo Eunkwang. Finally! I’m uploading the very first cover song on my YouTube channel. Actually, I was planning to revamp my channel first and then start the cover song project, but after so many requests from our fans… and after much thought…! Before it gets too late!!! I decided to join in on the buzz and cover “Golden.” LOL. I worked really hard on it, so I’d be grateful if you enjoy it. And I sincerely hope the Honmoon will close!

Fans quickly noticed the live-monitor behind him proving this was 100% live singing — no autotune.
Reactions flooded in:
- “There was a comment saying it must’ve been harder for Seo Eunkwang to memorize the lyrics than hold the high note. LOL. Where did it go?!”
- “I hope this video spreads everywhere. The whole world needs to know.”
- “Wow… Why didn’t I think of Seo Eunkwang before? This song and him are a perfect match.”
Others praised his lung capacity and serious delivery:
- “Not only is he really good, but the way he sings so seriously and with full concentration is really impressive.”
- “Wow, his lung capacity is insane. In other covers you can hear people getting out of breath, but Eunkwang’s voice is just so clear and powerful.”
- “He’s seriously so good! I watched until the end.”
