Kim Jong Kook drops ₩6.20 billion cash on luxury villa in Gangnam ahead of wedding
Kim Jong Kook just made a massive real estate move. The Running Man star bought a 243㎡ unit in Nonhyeon Appelbaum 2, a high-end townhouse complex in Seoul’s Gangnam district.
The price? Around ₩6.20 billion KRW (about $4.47 million USD) — paid fully in cash.
This purchase comes hot on the heels of his wedding announcement, sparking rumors this villa will be his new marital home. Media reports say he bought it for personal use, not as an investment, even before the wedding news went public.
Nonhyeon was recently designated a land transaction permit zone, limiting speculative buying. Fans also noticed Kim Jong Kook mentioned needing to move by June on a recent Running Man episode.
Nonhyeon Appelbaum 2, built in 2011, houses only 38 units. Combined with Phase 1, the complex totals 76 households. It boasts airtight security with five-layer detection, nearly 180 CCTV cameras, private elevators per unit, and underground parking with individual entry.
The location is prime — near Dosan Park, Apgujeong Rodeo, and Hakdong Intersection.
Celebrity residents include Jang Geun Suk.
Kim Jong Kook has said he prefers investing in health and lifestyle over real estate speculation. Nonhyeon Appelbaum fits, known for privacy and exclusivity.
