Shen Jia Run—known as NINA—faces backlash over past appearance critics called “Ugliest Celebrity Kid.”
The 19-year-old K-pop soloist, debuting June 19 under BNB Music, was once mocked online after a 2014 reality show appearance with her actor parents, Xiao Shen Yang and Shen Chun Yang.
Despite the controversy, NINA is ready to prove doubters wrong with her debut mini-album Never Afraid. She already showed promise as a mystery guest at her father’s concert in May.
NINA speaks English, Chinese, and Korean, and brings singing, dancing, and solid skills to the Korean entertainment scene.
