A beautiful heart to go with her beautiful face.
In an industry often defined by fleeting moments and camera-ready smiles, actress Go Youn Jung continues to distinguish herself — not just with her talent, but with her genuine warmth and selfless heart. As Resident Playbook recently wrapped, touching stories have emerged from the cast and crew about her true personality behind the scenes.
Co-star Han Ye Ji, who played Kim Sa Bi, shared some heartfelt reflections on her experience filming the show. In her closing remarks, she highlighted how the staff and fellow actors, including Go Youn Jung, truly made filming a joy. But what really stood out were those quiet but meaningful acts of kindness from Go Youn Jung that went far beyond mere professionalism.
“There’s a particularly warm memory I have. During a scene where we were eating chicken, I could only eat the radish because of dietary restrictions. Youn Jung took off the fried batter on the chicken by herself so I could eat with everyone. That small act stayed with me.”
This wasn’t just a one-time thing. Go Youn Jung’s compassion extended to the whole crew. To celebrate the final day of filming, she organized a snack truck event, gifting sweet treats and beverages to all. Get this — she even drew portraits of over 80 staff members, turning them into custom stickers included with each drink as a deeply personal thank-you for their hard work!
Her thoughtfulness didn’t stop there. During those cold winter months of filming, Go Youn Jung reportedly gifted long padded coats to over 100 staff members, ensuring everyone stayed warm on set. Considering that these coats can cost between ₩200,000 KRW (about $145 USD) to ₩500,000 KRW (about $362 USD) each, she must have spent a small fortune. While fans admire her talent and looks, it’s pretty clear that those who’ve worked with her are equally moved by her generous spirit.
