The 34th Seoul Music Awards (SMA) wrapped up on June 21, handing out honors to K-Pop’s biggest names of 2024. The ceremony took place months later than usual, but fans got all the awards and moments they expected.
Rising Star Award went to VVUP.
Discovery of the Year Award went to SAY MY NAME.
The Best New Artist Award was a three-way tie. KiiiKiii, KickFlip, and Hearts2Hearts all took home the honor.

R&B Hip Hop Award was given to BTS’s RM.
Popularity Award went to Lee Chan Won.
Hallyu Special Award went to BTS’s Jimin.
Best Group Award winners: ILLIT and NCT WISH.
Best Soloist Award went to NCT’s Doyoung.
K-Pop Special Award went to BTOB.
K-Pop World Choice Awards split between:
- Group: BABYMONSTER
- Solo: Young Tak
World Best Artist Award winners were BLACKPINK’s Rosé and aespa.
Best Album Award went to both TXT and ZEROBASEONE.
Best Song Award landed with TXT.
The big winner, Daesang Award, went to (G)I-DLE.
