Kim Woo Hyeon faces backlash over her body image during MAXIM Korea days
MAXIM Korea model Kim Woo Hyeon caught heat for her appearance after she rose to fame in 2018-2019. She gained attention for her voluptuous looks and even placed second in American MAXIM’s “Cover Girl Contest.”
Kim addressed the haters on Instagram Live, clapping back hard at harsh comments.
“People call me fat if I don’t lose weight, not attractive if I do lose weight, and that there’s nothing to see if I make the effort to exercise. If you have such high standards, why don’t you do anything to manage your own appearances?”

Fans quickly rallied to support her. Kim thanked them for standing by her.
Despite the hate, Kim didn’t quit modeling. She continues grabbing magazine covers and has released multiple photobooks.
She’s expanded her career too. Kim debuted as a singer with an album and music video, showing off serious talent beyond modeling. She also guests on YouTube shows and runs a foodie vlog channel where she shares drinks and chats.
Kim recently revealed her acting side with a funded short-drama, Photogenic Scandal. The first teaser photo dropped just days ago.
She’s also into wrestling, having competed successfully and won second place in her weight class.
Kim Woo Hyeon remains as active and gorgeous as ever, sharing festival fun and dog time on Instagram.
